Prop 8

So for a long time I have had trouble debating Prop 8 and the issue of gay marriage in my head. Wondering how people support it, why people don't etc... thinking that I completely support and uphold the belief that marriage is between a man and a woman but also wondering how it is not discrimination towards gays anyway I finally understood it last night and need to put it into words so my brain can let it go

No matter if you are atheist, or a devote religious person, there is a reason men and women are on this Earth. There are many reasons why we have genders. If there were not reasons then we would have "evolved" or have been created as unisex people with no gender and no defined roles.
Just take it to the basics people. We are men and women meant to be put together as man and wife to make --families, the core of this life, or why have a difference in gender at all?!

If you only believed in evolution and you take religion completely out of the picture then you think we evolved from the beginning of the Earth as a single celled organism. So say we are this single celled organism then why on Earth would that organism take time to evolve into two separate beings? Why not one super being, an asexula, unisex organism that can reproduce and have qualities of a man and woman. WHy? Why would there be two? I don't care who you are or what you believe you CAN'T argue that. Because if that is how it was then that is how it would be.
Notice in nature there are male animals and female animals and they are drawn to one another. See how that words in the very basics of survival. We need both to procreate and have babies, baby animals, baby birds, baby humans and you need a man and a woman to do that. We are meant to be together. Men and women have different traits. Men from the core are hunters and protectors. Women from the core are fertile nurturers... it has been that way since the first animal, since the first human set foot on this Earth.
Even without religion there is NO arguing that. Face it men and women have to be together to continue life. You might want to argue all kinds of petri dish children or what not but you still need a sperm and an egg, one from a man and one from a woman.

Now I'm not going to get into my opinion of why I think people are gay or what I think about it because frankly it'll piss off a whole bunch of people

Anyway back to the basics. Male + Female = baby = family = life PERIOD.
