I got an e-mail from OSSO, the group that I went through to serve in the Ecuadorian orphanages, and they reported that the number of volunteers has decreased tremendously with the economy the way it is. This is bad news! This means that there aren't enough volunteers to take care of the children and if they don't get more volunteers soon, they will have to close down one of the cities. These children desperately need the love and care the volunteers give. If you know anyone who may be interested in serving for a few months, please forward this e-mail on, including the websites below! You can assure them that it will be the best 3 months of their life. If they doubt you, tell them to contact me and I will give them my word on the matter Ü.
Also, if you want to put your money to good use, they are looking for sponsors to donate even small amounts of money for items such as milk, school supplies, medicine or childcare workers. Without donations, these things will be cut out of the orphanages. These children need us!
